Worship & Music
The worship experience Our Savior's Lutheran Church is scripture-based and filled with music. We use the ELCA hymnal Evangelical Lutheran Worship. A variety of worship settings are used throughout the year and vary each week.
You can find our weekly bulletins HERE. We use bulletins to make it easier for people to follow what is going on in the service. Large print versions of the scripture readings are available from the ushers. Children are always welcome at worship and Activity bags are available for young children to use during service. A nursery is provided during service. Holy Baptism Lutherans baptize both infants and adults. We believe that God is the One who acts in baptism, washing us, cleansing us from sin and freeing us from bondage to death and evil. In baptism God makes us God's own and places us within God's family. Through faith, parents promise to raise their children in faith. Through Baptism you are incorporated into Christ and into his body, the church. Holy Communion At Holy Communion we share the bread and wine with the communion of saints, including all believers. In this meal we recall that it was by a broken body and poured blood that Christ saved us. Christ is present for us to forgive our sins and nourish us for discipleship. We believe Christ is "really present" in, with and under the bread and wine of communion. The Lord's Supper is celebrated every Sunday. At Our Savior's, children receive instruction in preparation for the Sacrament during the fifth grade. Children that are already communing are welcome to receive communion. Children who have not yet had first communion may come forward for a blessing. As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Our Savior's practices OPEN COMMUNION. If you are Baptized, believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Sacrament, and commune at your home congregation, you are welcome to commune at OSLC.
