Congratulations to:

during the Maundy Thursday worship service on April 21st.
Sherry Powers who was confirmed on June 12th.
On Sept. 12th, 2010 the Sunday School students wrote messages on decorated cards with the OSLC address on it. They were tied onto helium filled, red balloons and set adrift. We hope they travel far and that someone will come across them and returns the cards to us. It was a beautiful sight.
This year the Sunday School offerings collected from the students will be going to fund Rapid Deployment Kits (consisting of) a Bible and a daily worship guide for our service men and women overseas. Information on the kits can be found HERE.
A thank you note from "Turn the Radios On" has been received. Our Savior's sent in enough money for 27 radios! Financial support was from Sunday loose offerings and Sunday School offerings. $945 was sent. We are helping to bring the gospel to people around the world who have not heard the gospel because of limited access to it.

Lenten Study
When: Sunday Adult Forum
Time: 8:45am –9:45am
Where: Fellowship Hall
Dates: Feb. 19th - April 1st
These weeks will take a look at the book "Final Words From the Cross" by Adam Hamilton.
"Each chapter begins with the biblical account followed by a first-person story as might have been told from the viewpoint of one of the characters at the cross. Then the chapter explores the meaning of Jesus’ dying words for our lives today. Following the last statement, a postscript recounts the words Jesus spoke following his resurrection, including what truly were the final words Jesus spoke while walking this earth." -- from http://www.amazon.com/Final-Words-Cross-Adam-Hamilton/dp/1426746806
Come be apart of this study! We will start at 8:45am, stay as long as you can.
We understand if you have to leave early for other church activities!

The children enjoy our "noisy offering". The children get to collect coins from the congregation and drop (or sometimes even throw) them in the collection bowl. Every few months a new recipient of the collected coins is selected from the community.
Currently: Families Helping Families; which is a non-profit, 100% volunteer group designed to help and support children in foster care, relative placement and suitable other placement.
